Shays Lane can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Tribal Run, Commanche Quest and Weaver George. Shays lane has been given a rest since scoring back-to back successes at Hexham last year and reappears on a light weight against mainly uninspiring rivals. Ferdy Murphy's team seem to be coming back to form now and the 10-year-old will relish the trip. Commanche Lane actually beat the selection in a novice chase at Hexham early last year but Mary Reveley's charge failed to build on that and is not fancied to confirm the form here. Tribal Run has been off for nearly 12 months but is owned by Trevor Hemmings who has had a purple patch of late. weaver George meanwhile is still strutting his stuff at the age of 14 but there surely can be no more improvement from the old fella this term. Grayslake is lightly-raced and has some scope but it is hard to escape the claims of Shays Lane in a fairly moderate contest.
