In depth

Verdict

Tandava, The Weaver and Master Sebastian are three against the field in this novices hurdle and the vote goes to The Weaver. The selection was a fair bumper performer and although he was disappointing on his hurdling debut behind Miss Holly he is sure to strip fitter here and under conditions that suit he is taken to score. Tandava rates the main danger on his latest second behind Kid'z'play but he weakened close home on that occasion and if this is a fast run race he may run out of stamina so he is passed over on this occasion. Master Sebastian was a fair fifth behind Ammonias last time and is sure to improve but he will need to do so to score. Opal's Helmsman was a fair second behind Blue Morning last time but that was in a seller and this is more competitive. Of the remainder Monte Rosa is from a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to The Weaver.
