Escompteur can land the finale to the expense of Saintsaire and Polyphon. A great second behind Bleu Superb at Cheltenham last time out Escompteur looked as though he was coming to himself. He doesn¿t win very often but has ability and if reproducing his best effort he has to go close again. Saintsaire has a big weight to carry and although he has been running in quality races of late he seems far from his best and probably best watched. Polyphon won back to back races at Ayr in the spring but his last run looked below standard which might mean we have seen the best of him this season. So for the winner we return to Escompteur.
