Verdict

John McConnell has a good record with his raiders from County Meath and Duleek Street strolled home at Cartmel in August. He has a penalty to carry as does fellow raider DUTCH SCHULTZ, a winner at Wexford who fell on his chasing debut at Kilbeggan. The latter gets the nod as he's mainly been racing in better company though Lucinda Russell has won this twice in the past four years and Esprit Du Potier, a dual bumper winner who ran very well in a Grade 2 bumper at Aintree, looks a smart recruit to hurdles.
