The first two home last year lock horns once again. Bigirononhiship beat JUST YOUR TYPE (NAP) in soft going on that occasion and was having his first outing since when second at Ayr last month. But the latter returned to winning ways at Uttoxeter last time and re-opposing on much better terms in this year’s renewal with the ground more in his favour, Charlie Longsdon’s charge can come out best. Red Giant finished well ahead of Duc De Grissay when winning at Sedgefield before finishing runner-up at Catterick while Southwell winner Classic Escape and Hexham winner Nakadam face more difficult tasks with the latter racing from 7lb out of the weights. Bob Mahler won the Edinburgh National over 4m1f back in February but has struggled since returning to action while Iwilldoit won over a shorter trip here at the end of last year and is 7lb higher.
Bob Mahler (IRE) 14-1 (11-11) Led, headed narrowly 2nd, shuffled back to midfield 11th, ridden before 14th, well adrift before 3 out, pulled up, at Haydock 3m 2f hcp (2) sft in Nov.

Just Your Type (IRE) 11-2 (11-9) Prominent or led throughout, mistake 10th, headed 15th, mistake 2 out, stayed on well after last, just up to lead final strides, gamely, won at Uttoxeter 3m 2f hcp (3) gs in Nov beating Indy Five (11-1) by hd, 10 ran.
Bigirononhiship (IRE) 5-1 (11-6) Chased leader, led 9th until after next, in front again 11th, joined when hit 4 out and 2 out, headed between last 2, stayed on same pace, 2nd of 8, 1 1/4l behind Crixus's Escape (11-7) at Ayr 3m hcp (3) sft in Nov.
