Verdict

Few make any appeal and two of those that do finished second in their respective divisions of the same handicap here last month. Big Bad Dream finished a long way behind the winner but ARTIC MANN missed out by only a neck and the latter may prove best in this. Blaydon finished runner-up at Ayr when last in action in March last year while Whoa Black Betty and Hitman Fred look no nearer winning despite slipping down the weights. Silk Or Scarlet was due to run at Wetherby yesterday.
