Resolute Performer is upped in grade as he attempts his hat-trick but there are a few in the previous race who could give the form of his latest victory at Hexham a boost and most of the opposition in this have plenty to prove at present. Nigel Twiston-Davies' runners here are always worth a second look, however, so Winged Crusader goes on the short-list despite disappointing since winning at Uttoxeter in December. Gibbstown won at Hexham in March but a line through Basford Ben gives that one plenty to find with VIKING REBEL. The latter is enjoying something of a revival and can reverse Ayr running in January with the Irish raider en-route to taking this. He also has the beating of Stoney on recent running at Carlisle.
