TURBO ISLAND gets the vote here ahead of King O'The Gypsies and Colour Clash in a race with plenty of deadwood in. James Ewart does very well at the track and has brought some of his better novice hurdlers here recently. This son of Turbo Speed showed good resolution to fend off Premier Sagas at Ayr when last seen and with the ground in his favour he could be hard to beat despite his penalty. The obvious danger is King O'The Gypsies who has shaped with promise in two starts over hurdles but the feeling is that he may be seen to best effect when tackling better ground. Heart O' The West has run two good races since coming back from injury and is considered, although handicaps will be a better option after this run. Therefore stablemate Colour Clash may be a bigger threat today with Graham Lee booked for the ride. This gelding has been prominent in the betting on his two hurdles starts and if his fall last time has not dented his confidence then a big run should be forthcoming. Chester Lad may improve for hurdles, whilst Against The Wind looks one for handicaps after this run. He has plenty to find with the selection on their bumper run a year ago, and so we are happy to return to Turbo Island as the nomination.
