Persian Point is the selection ahead of Tiger Talk, Shakwaa and Ho Pang Yau in a competitive finale. Persian Point nearly defied a long absence when worn down close home by Political Cruise in selling company at Hexham recently, and as he will be that bit fitter now, is taken to open his account. The shorter trip today will help and although he is of limited ability, the fact that the rest are as well adds to our confidence. Tiger Talk's last win came two years ago but since then he has come down the weights and may be involved along with Shakwaa who put in a fair effort at Sedgefield. He has topweight to overcome though, while Ho Pang Yau was pulled up as though something was amiss here in October. Loscar is worth a mention as well, having finished third to Basilea Star here last time, but if Persian Point can just find a few pounds improvement, he and Clive Storey can prevail.
