Verdict

Only four runners in this and two of those race from out of the handicap proper. Neither Maid In Moscow, runner-up to More Equity at Kelso last time, nor Sedgefield second Toulouse Express can be ignored, however. Our Jim won under Henry Brooke at Market Rasen nine days ago and will make a bold bid to defy his penalty but we'll give another chance to LADY DE LA VEGA over this longer trip. Tim Vaughan's mare hasn't much in the way of pace but has always looked likely to appreciate a thorough test of stamina and could get her own way out in front today.
