In depth

Verdict

Aurora Thunder dropped down to Class 3 level to score at Musselburgh, with Voix Du Reve six lengths behind in fourth. He is only 2lb higher today's rider claims 3lb less. Famous Bridge battled to a narrow victory at Ayr before being caught close home over an extended 2m6f on this track. Brian Hughes has been on board for all three starts over hurdles and it will be a surprise if he doesn't steer him into the frame. Elvis Mail had some smart form over fences last winter and has done little wrong in two recent starts back over timber but he could do with some more rain so the vote goes to SAINT D'OROUX (NAP). The Irish raider would have no problems winning this on his third in a Grade B handicap at the Dublin Racing Festival a year ago when in the Gordon Elliott yard and his two later runs were in much better class than this.
