In depth

Verdict

Firth Of Forth showed nothing in his first two starts over timber but did much better at Newcastle last time. So They Say went for £30,000 after easily winning a maiden point-to-point and gets the mares' allowance on her first start for Lucinda Russell. Stuart Crawford sent winning bumper PAT'S PICK to Ayr a month ago and he only faded on the run-in. That was his first run for the yard after transferring from Noel Meade and this should prove within his capabilities. Lalochezia was well beaten into second at Catterick but River Meadow will have come on nicely for his run in an Ayr bumper in November.
