A chance is taken with Templet, who has shown a fair aptitude for the winter game and rates as good value against Baawrah, who is respected but has to be a prime candidate to suffer from the bounce factor. Parisienne Gale is also feared on her return to hurdles and she is worth noting in the betting. The same has to be said of Irish raider Possible Gale, who proved that he is capable at this level by winning at Sedgefield just over a month ago. However, he had previously been very expensive to follow and is not one to be going overboard about in spite of the increased pressure to pay for the traveling expenses of his connections. Baawrah is unexposed over hurdles and looked a fair prospect for a modest race like this when winning at Cartmel in August. However, that was his first start for a year and his soundness has to be taken on trust. Watch the betting market before getting involved with him. Therefore, in the search for value, we turn to Templet, who has proved versatile since he joined his current yard at the star of this year. The five-year-old rates as good each-way value in a very tricky race to fathom.
