It's one of those, you-pay-your-money-and-you-take-your-choice races as it's another competitive event. The bottom four are out of the handicap, so they are overlooked. Of the others, course winner Backcraft is back on a winning mark but has yet to prove he stays this far (was a mile winner on the Flat). Political Sox is 16lbs higher than for his last win. Bodfari Signet is back on a winning mark, as is Jansue Charlie, and all of his wins have come at Kelso. Tobesure's two wins have also come here but has a five-pound rise to overcome for the latest of them. Brave Vision is three-pounds lower than for his course over two miles but is unproven at this trip. Star Councel is a dual Irish winner but opposable overall on his British efforts of late. Rosalyons could be fancied on the best of her form. However, in a tricky race, the vote goes to Jansue Charlie, who clearly likes this track.
