NonRunner

In depth

Verdict

Most of these are having a first run over fences so a little guesswork is required. A decent performer in bumpers, SPORTING ACE only won once over hurdles but was a bit unlucky on occasions. He placed off higher marks over timber in the spring so gets the nod given he seems to run well fresh. Holly Hartingo only ran once last season but has won around here and placed between the flags. Pearly Island is also a previous course winner and he was consistent over hurdles last season but Surrey Quest has disappointed over the larger obstacles. Lepashe could figure if fully wound-up but Storminhome looks a bigger danger given he’s won a point-to-point and a hurdle and has only run five times under Rules.
