Verdict
This may be another for Lucy Wadham's Christmas fund, as the improving KENTUCKY STAR is fancied to land the finale. Keltic Cliche has a stiff test under a penalty, so it may be down to Alflora Dora and Miss Keck to scrap it out as the best of the rest. The last named was six lengths adrift of the selection when they met at Wetherby and it will take a good effort from her to reverse the form. However, she is going the right way and can make the frame if she runs to the best of her ability. Alflora Dora looked a useful recruit when she made her debut at Cheltenham last season. However, she was well below that form on her reappearance, so does have a bit to prove. The betting will be the best gauge where she is concerned. Even so, it is very hard to escape from the claims held by Kentucky Star, who sets the standard for the time being and she is fancied to make the short journey over to Huntingdon a profitable exercise today.
