In depth

Verdict

Not a lot of form under rules to go upon so the token pick is Hilly Gale versus What A Buzz and Crashtown Hall. The selection hails from a yard that are known for enjoying particular success in this sphere and with Jamie Moore booked for the ride, hopes are high on debut. What A Buzz has the edge of experience and was well backed on debut. He lost no caste in defeat and will be no pushover at this level. Crashtown Hall shaped with a degree of promise in a Newbury bumper and has to be considered in the event of market support. Divvys Dream is out of a staying family and is one to watch with a view to the future. Clevermansam is related to a number of winning hurdlers and similar comments apply. Velvet Blu makes some interest on breeding while Doran's Express, who is a half-brother to Hibernian, makes most appeal of the rest. A difficult race to assess without reference to the market and in the absence of that information, Hilly Gale is recommended.
