Verdict
Jonnie Skull runs the 175th race if his career - and his first over fences! Heaven knows what his increasing legion of fans make of it all but let's wish him a safe journey on this chasing debut as he seeks a 22nd career success, all of which comes on the back of his latest outing that saw him finish unplaced over Newmarket's 7f. Town Mouse has plenty of fencing experience to his name but FOX NORTON was by far the best of these over hurdles and should be good enough to go in here if taking to the larger obstacles under the expert tuition of Noel Fehily. He was most impressive when landing a competitive Taunton handicap hurdle of some quality when last seen. Marju's Quest, who has done tremendously well for the impressive David Dennis over hurdles, and fair novice hurdler, Lemony Bay, are also respected in an interesting novice chase.
