Verdict

Limerick Boy, Specular, and Visibility look the ones to concentrate on in this novices chase and the vote is given to Limerick Boy. The selection was going well when falling last time out in a much better race and he need only put in a clear round to score under conditions that suit. Specular rates the main danger on form in the book but his stable still appears out of sorts and he may be best watched on this occasion. Visibility is another that would not be far away on his best form but he was disappointing behind Sleep Bal for no apparent reason last time so can not be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Golden Crusader won well last time out when beating Downpour but this looks more competitive and he may struggle under his penalty while Dabus is better on a faster surface and for the winner we return to Limerick Boy.
