Edredon Bleu and Hand Inn Hand dodged an Exeter meeting with Best Mate to be here and they look to have this race between them with Farmer Jack holding solid chances. Henrietta Knight's horse has an impressive record in this race and provided that the ground doesn't get too soft, there is every chance that he can record yet another victory in this contest in spite of advanced years. Hand Inn Hand is much improved and should be spot on following a recent spin over hurdles. The handicapper has forced his hand with Henry Daly's charge and now the horse has to prove it. Farmer Jack fell in the Hennessey. He looked a much improved runner prior to that slip up and connections must be confident that any confidence accrued has not withered as a result of that spill. Hot Shots is stepped up in trip but probably isn't quite good enough on what we've seen thus far. Le Roi Miguel has to reverse form with Hand Inn Hand but it wouldn't be the first time that Paul Nicholls has produced a french-bred to land a a big prize. Upgrade is better over this trip than over two miles and while he is something of a back number, he is still capable if he consents to start. Edredon Bleu looks the one to beat and we will seek not to oppose a romantic victory.
