Verdict

LESKINFERE beat fellow course specialist Lord Sparky by seven lengths here two runs ago and won again eight days later. The latter is now 12lb better off but John Cornwall’s charge may be worth sticking with now he’s found his form again. Almost Gold has a very long absence to overcome but also goes well here but Thundersockssundae’s best form so far has been over shorter while the going might be too quick for Dubai Guest.
