Lightning Star, Khaysar and Blue Leader are three against the field in a race where jockeyship will be all important and the tentative vote goes to Lightning Star. The gelding from the in-form Gary Moore yard has run well without winning but a reproduction of his latest third behind Alsayati would make him hard to beat in what looks a poor race. Blue Leader rates the main danger on his win a couple of runs ago he was then a fair fifth behind Eau Pure but he gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him and for that reason he is opposed. Khaysar is also worthy of respect on his latest third behind Maccracken but he is not the most consistent. Of the remainder Revelino looks to be on a handy mark and could run well at a price but for the winner we return to Lightning Star.
