Verdict

BORDER TALE is not a horse who you can entirely trust but he is likely to get his own way in front here and that could prove key to him gaining another victory. Without a win in 11 starts until last time, he had dropped to what looked an attractive mark and duely took full advantage. He has got the 7lb penalty to contend with here but the lively ground is also in his favour. Elaala beat a smart sort in Shesali on her last start and is now 8lb higher for that. She could prove the biggest threat to Border Tale and is another who likes to hear her hooves rattle. Hibiki returns following a summer break. He was lightly raced last season and the market should provide a guide to what is expected on his return but Border Tale is selected.
