Sarasota was good value for his success at Exeter last month and a 7lb penalty may not be enough to prevent Peter Bowen's gelding from following up and he is taken to do so at the main expense of Another Promise and Oysterhaven. The last mentioned has shown a consistent level of form recently but Paul Keane's gelding faces no easy task giving weight away all round and he is probably best left watched today. Rose Of The Hill represents the stable of Martin Pipe and has to be respected. The daughter of Roselier has had plenty of chances in similar company though and while she cannot be left out of calculations completely it may be best to wait until she goes chasing before backing the six-year-old. Oliver Sherwood's Mini Dare has suffered at the hands of the handicapper for his win at Doncaster three starts ago and looks a shade high in the weights now, while Go For Bust makes limited appeal first time in a handicap. Richard Guest's Beaugency also makes his debut in a handicap and is another to consider, especially with the Guest stable in such good form, but a bigger threat may come from Another Promise. A 9lb higher mark than when successful at Warwick last time leaves the six-year-old with more to do but he has a progressive profile and there may be more improvement to come. The vote though goes to Sarasota. Peter Bowen's gelding has not had a lot of racing in recent seasons and showed improved form at Exeter last time when running out a six-length winner over Purple Patch. Set to go up a further 2lbs in future handicaps the 10-year-old is taken to make the most of his favourable mark.
