Zalotto (IRE) Acts on fast and soft ground and stays 3 miles well. Lightly raced in the last 2 years, he unseated his rider on his seasonal reappearance on Jan 18, his first run for for 565 days.
Bauble Stays and extended 2 3/4 miles on a sharp track and acts on good to soft. Needed his seasonal reappearance, his first run in over a year. Has form off this mark.
Big Atoll (NZ) Acts on soft and probably stays this trip. Very lightly raced in the last two years and would need to turn back the clock to have a chance here.
Cassio's Boy Had a break before last two runs and the handicapper has dropped him for those efforts. He has won off a mark of 90 so, running off 86 today and with the trip and ground no problem, he's fully entitled to run well.
Little Gunner Very lightly raced in the last two years and little encouragement to be gained from his two runs this season.
Sprig Muslin On her penultimate start she won over 2 3/4 miles at Fontwell on heavy. Now rated three pounds higher. Back in September, she finished well behind Cassio's Boy at Hereford (2m 3f 110y, good to soft) and is now five pounds worse off. However, she would have needed that run, her first in two years.
Beechfield Flyer Has fallen 14 pounds in the ratings for his efforts this season. His form of two years ago, mainly at Leicester, would give him a chance here but he has only one effort of note to his name this current campaign. That was when second to Crisis at Uttoxeter in early November. Today's trip and ground will be no problem for him.
Deadly Doris She tries this longer trip for only the third time in the last two years. Has at times suggested that it wouldn't suit her but we'll learn a lot more today. Yet to win a race despite some placed efforts this season. She acts on soft/heavy.
Leap In The Dark (IRE) Very lightly raced in recent years and has shown little in three runs this season. Races from out of the handicap here.
Cromer Pier Likes Market Rasen and ease in the ground although his form is plating class. Effectively five pounds higher than when winning a Market Rasen seller in October, although his rider will reduce that by three. Trying a new trip here and it isn't guaranteed to suit.
