Beefy Nova, Steel Mill, Red Gold and Glanmerin are four against the field in a wide-open affair and the tentative vote goes to Steel Mill. The selection finished behind Beefy Nova last time at Fontwell and as that was his first run in 15 months it will be a surprise if he does not go on to reverse the form with Beefy Nova, especially as the step up in trip should also work in his favour. Red Gold unseated his rider at Chepstow last time, but prior to that he had shown enough to give him excellent place claims here, while Glanmerin is well treated on the pick of his form and ran as though he was returning to something like his best when third behind Fluff 'N' Puff on this track last time. He will be interesting if the market speaks in his favour, but Steel Mill should benefit for his reappearance run after a lengthy absence and he is given the nomination.
