In depth

Verdict

Fontwell winner Amirico was taking on decent opposition at Plumpton last time and could go well, despite his penalty. Kartanian was a fair fifth at Newbury on his hurdles bow but Richard Johnson prefers stablemate Faultless Feelings. Nicky Henderson also saddles two, with Barry Geraghty on board Carabinier in preference to Cheney Manor. Chaser Radetsky March appears to be seeking a confidence-booster over the smaller obstacles so we're coming down on the side of KINGSMERE. Henry Daly's gelding only gave best at the last when fourth on his hurdling debut at Hereford. He had Mister Chancer behind that day and can confirm that running here with improvement virtually guaranteed.
