      Verdict

      Gimme Five has been trying hard under a penalty since making a winning debut over hurdles at Uttoxeter in June. He won't be far away again here but ROMAN RICHES may have his measure in receipt of 7lb if handling the switch in codes. Gary Moore's gelding won a middle-distance handicap on Turf at Lingfield in June and has also been placed twice on Polytrack, suggesting he'll handle the forecast quick surface. Witch From Rome was second at Plumpton on his hurdles bow but was only a short-head in front of Officer Drivel that day.
