Verdict

UK and Irish sprinters have enjoyed plenty of success in this with Maarek the latest winner. He beat Catcall and Hamza last year with Justineo and Spirit Quartz finishing down the field but would prefer some cut in the ground. Mirza and Stepper Point ran shockers in last year's renewal though both are much better than that and the latter won a Group 3 at the Curragh last time, beating Guerre and Sir Maximilian. But William Muir's charge, Moviesta, Hot Streak and Rangali were all beaten by SOLE POWER in the Nunthorpe at York in August and Ed Lynam's charge can come out best once again. The two-year-olds Cotai Glory and Goken have both been drawn out wide and had a tough enough task anyway.
