Liathroidisneachta showed promise on his Hereford debut but Jonjo O'Neill's horses have yet to hit form since returning from their enforced absence and a safer bet looks to be Kayceecee, who is marginally preferred to stablemate Campaign Charlie. The last mentioned is bred to be useful being a half-brother to useful chaser Roberty Bob but the son of Rakaposhi King is also related to a sprint winner and there must be a stamina doubt concerning Henry Daly's gelding. There should be no such fears for stable companion Kayceecee, who is out of a dam that won a bumper and two hurdles races and she is preferred. Longhope Boy is a rare runner in this grade for trainer Willie Musson and, while he makes appeal on pedigree, the son of Rock Hopper was well held on his debut, while Nick Littmoden's Top Dancer is unlikely to appreciate the underfoot conditions. A chance is taken then on the ability of Kayceecee who should be suited by the ground and hails from a stable that does well with their runners in this grade.
