Hidden Cargo gained his only success in 37 starts in this race a year ago but has been in poor form and was a long way behind KILDRUM here last time. The winner scored by 25 lengths from Gipsy Lee Rose in the heavy conditions and can defy an 11lb rise. Speak Of The Devil has gained both career victories over this track and trip though on good ground while Kaphumor is still 10lb higher than his only success under Rules here in November 2021. Winning point-to-pointer Classic Lady has been well beaten in three starts over hurdles and makes her chasing bow from 8lb out of the handicap.
