Gulf Punch has ability but unfortunately not the consistency to accompany it in order to make him viable punting material and is, albeit somewhat reluctantly, passed over in a riddle of a race. Rinnagree Rosie would win this if the bare form of her Ayr heavy ground success over Frankie's Promise, immensely impressive since, could be taken literally but her victim that day has improved dramatically whilst her own subsequent efforts have been well below par. The ground is a question mark for The Flaming Matron whilst High Fair could be an improver but is another unproven on heavy. In contrast, AMETHYST ROSE will handle conditions well, has a course and distance win to her name and was back to form last time after a fallow period when hunting up King's Chorister at Perth.
