In depth

Verdict

Cape Hideaway has had a few chances to get off the mark but has gone close the last twice at Market Rasen. However, he continues to creep up the weights and may well find one too good again today. The Doorman has won a couple of novice events this month but was struggling in handicaps before that and has a welter burden to shoulder, less Harry Reed’s claim. The Herds Garden has yet to really shine for Donald McCain so we’ll stick with the proven course form of DESERT ISLAND DUSK, who has won both previous starts here and is back on a more manageable mark.
