After a couple of wins between the flags, Shantou Magic ran in the Foxhunter at Cheltenham but was predictably outclassed and pulled up. MENDIP EXPRESS ran in that race last year and also in top hunter chases at Aintree and Punchestown. He’s only had two runs this term and, while not as good as once was, should still have too much for these. Kings Lodge has only had one run under Rules in five years and was pulled up around here while Midnight Appeal doesn’t really handle ground this soft.
