Only a few make serious appeal and we will side with Huka Lodge to beat the well-touted Katmandu on this occasion. There was a lot to like about Huka Lodge's recent victory over the ultra-consistent Jack Martin at Newcastle and with the Lungo team firing in a few winners at present - he looks the type to lower the colours of his flat-bred market rival. Katmandu has done little wrong on the book although he does not look to be the most straightforward of individuals. He is still yet to be tested on an unforgiven surface and today we will no doubt see if he has got what it takes. Approaching Land is a winning pointer who now races under rules with Mick Easterby. He was any price you liked on his National Hunt debut two years ago and it is of interest that he is owned by the well-known amateur jockey, Lord Manton. The remainder look little to write home about although Lady Janal has showed some aptitude when there is cut in the ground. Huka Lodge gets our vote.
