Verdict

DISCKO DES PLAGES was behind when unseating his rider on his only start over fences a year ago but showed his liking for heavy ground when making all over hurdles at Doncaster in February. He's capable of further progress and looks on a fair mark. Snougar landed a maiden hurdle at Ayr in 2018 but showed little until a winning debut over fences at Wetherby in March. That was on heavy ground so today's conditions and a 6lb rise shouldn't pose too much of a problem. Wor Verge won a handicap hurdle at this fixture a year ago and makes his chasing debut after running well for a long way over hurdles at Carlisle. Southeast Rose landed a heavy-ground handicap over timber at Kelso in January and led until the last on a return visit over fences last month.
