Verdict

Tickenwolf is bidding for a fifth course victory so can’t be ruled out. Arctic Vodka won a maiden here in March and was then second in a handicap at Newcastle but all of his form has come on heavy going. Sharp Response was chasing last season and this may be a pipe-opener so the vote goes to THE HOLLOW GINGE, who goes well fresh and showed he stays this trip when third at Southwell around this time last year. David John won at Newton Abbot in the summer but finished last on a first run for new connections at Uttoxeter.
