Verdict

Calach overcame inexperience to make a winning debut over course and distance in June. Big Time Dancer was also successful over track and trip in June and soft going may have been to blame for a poor run last time at Cartmel. Remember The Days could be a useful recruit from the Flat but Harry Whittington’s only previous runner on this track won and SIMPLY THE BETTS (NAP can follow suit. Suited by good going, he won easily at Warwick in May having come up against useful novices in previous runs over timber. French import Ex S'elance may need this and Icefall has already had limitations exposed.
