In depth

Verdict

Al Destoor, twice a winner on the Flat, was headed in the closing stages over this trip on heavy ground at Ayr then came up a against a decent winner in a better race at Bangor. He should be winning soon but successful bumper Baracula hasn't run since just failing to make all over 2m1f at Sedgefield a year ago. KNOW THE SCORE won a point and a bumper before running well for a long way in the championship bumper at Cheltenham. He started favourite for his hurdling bow at Chepstow. He couldn't get close to the leaders that day but today's testing ground will be in his favour and he can improve enough to take this. Warendorf has been well beaten in both starts over the track and trip.
