In depth

Verdict

Hurlers Cross deserves to get his head in front following a couple of placed efforts but Paul Blockley's gelding has had little help from the handicapper, while Gee Aker Malayo has harshly been raised 8lbs for winning a similarly poor contest last time and preference is for Highland Brig. The selection does have an absence to overcome but has his ground and seems potentially well treated so he gets the vote to make a winning return. Jimmys Duky is capable but looks in the grip of the handicapper, while Tee-Jay may struggle to give weight away all round. Jim Bobs Girl is less exposed than most of these but still needs to improve and a better bet may be the reappearing Highland Brig, who gets the vote.
