Another competitive event but we will side with Northern Vic as the likely winner with Toy Gun and Carrolls O¿Tully both worth noting. The selection is relatively unexposed as a chaser with only five runs over the larger obstacles. He ran a personal best when second to Hall of Flame at Sedgefield last month and even though he was raised four pounds for that he still looks a really well handicapped horse. This race is competitive but in terms of quality it does not hold up to much therefore Northern Vic should have enough in his favour to break his maiden tag. Toy Gun wears cheek pieces for the first time to sharpen him up and he does step up in trip. He ran well here over half a mile shorter and looked to be doing his best work at the finish so with that in mind he is worth noting. As is Carrlos O¿Tully who made all to win at Carlisle in the autumn and although limited in his ability he can grab some place prize money if running up to his best. But for the winner we return to Northern Vic.
