Apadi has solid claims and gets the vote over Sara Monica and Amadeus. Apadi has had plenty of mileage already, having been successful on the Flat in the past, and was successful over hurdles for Michael Chapman before changing stables. He does tend to take a hold but that did not stop him scoring over fences at Cartmel in August, and he stayed on well when a close second to Dante's Brook here last month. His overall form makes him the one to beat, with Sara Monica having an absence to overcome. Len Lungo's charge will need further than this to show her best over fences, while Amadeus made too many mistakes when second over hurdles at Plumpton. To be fair, he has only had two outings in two years so may yet make a chaser, but he and the rest will struggle to contain Apadi who is a confident choice.
