SIRKEEL gets the vote in this novices' hurdle; Elzahann and Double Hit rate as the main dangers. The selection has got plenty of placed form and he wasn't beaten far last time at Kelso behind Big Burrows. He might have got a bit closer had it not been for a bad mistake and he certainly deserves to get his head in front. Elzahann was only narrowly beaten at Sedgefield last time and despite her recent rise in the handicap, she is still clealy on a mark that she is capable of winning off. Double Hit was well beaten at Newbury last time but that was in a much better race than this and this drop in grade should see her in a better light. Dark Destiny was a big disappointment last time and it will take a big improvement to see Howard Johnson's 5-year-old get competitive today. Sirkeel has been in decent form and we will put him forward as the pick.
