In depth

Verdict

This is a distinctly moderate contest and is taken to go the way of Toulouse Express, who will not mind the cut in the ground and he is taken to give weight and a beating away to his five rivals, getting the verdict ahead of Impress and Macchiato. The last mentioned has disappointed in her last two starts but does take a big drop in class today so has to be respected on ground that should suit. Perez has lost his way on the flat of late and has dropped down to this grade on the level as well so he looks best watched, while Sandy Bay is hard to recommend on recent form. Scuzme would have claims on the form shown here in March but has failed to reproduce a similar level of form since then and a bigger threat may come from Don McCain's Impress, who should improve for his recent return at Bangor. Toulouse Express has solid claims in a poor contest though and he is preferred.
