      Verdict

A decent prize for the track has drawn a competitive field but they will all have to go some to beat Oh Crick, who is good enough to complete a four timer at the main expense of Mickmacmagoole, Echo Point and Kanad. The selection has run up a hat-trick in handicaps and novices' on ground softer than this in the past couple of months, so if there is any question hanging over him it is his ability on good ground. Pedigree suggests that he should be ok, and of so, then as a progressive sort he looks the one to be on. Mickmacmagoole will certainly enjoy the ground and was going well when tipping up at Cheltenham last time. He rarely runs a bad race and is very much respected from this mark. Echo Point is a rare runner here for Nicky Richards and returns to hurdles for the first time since 2005. He is 10lb lower over hurdles than his chase mark an acts on the ground so he is worth consideration. Kanad was thrashed is Listed company last time, but back on this surface and in this sort of company he can go close, while Hue is not totally ruled out, though does look a bit high in the weights. An interesting race then and Oh Crick can make it four on the trot.
