Verdict
Perhaps not as competitive as the numbers would suggest and Bay Island is taken to resume winning ways. Heathor Dalton's charge has proved a revelation over the larger obstacles quickly completing a hat-trick before looking unlucky at Huntingdon when last seen out in December. The front running son of Treasure Hunt looked set to collect until meeting with interference at the final fence and had to settle for minor honours. Given a break since, the seven-year-old should give another good account off the same mark on ground that suits. Harpasgon de l'Ombre was an impressive novice winner at Ludlow in October but had his limitations exposed on his handicap bow at Newbury next time and may struggle off his current mark. Cream Gorse has looked a sketchy jumper and was well held when completing the course last time while course winner Rosey Boy appears high enough in the weights judged on his latest effort.
