In depth

Verdict

Ballybeg Boss changed hands for £50,000 after winning an Irish point in April. Amidnightstar was second at Stratford in August on her debut under Rules and Roger Pol was taking on decent opposition at Cheltenham last month after winning at Worcester. MAGIC SEVEN impressed with the manner of his victory here last month and can give the weight away to the £60,000 Kapgarde gelding Kruger Park, who is bred for further, and Dan Skelton’s filly Viva Valentina, who cost €82,000 and is related to several winners in France. La Pagerie and Alcedo may do better when gaining some experience.
