In depth

Verdict

Cap Du Mathan wasn’t beaten far at Wincanton after a pipe-opener at Chepstow. Mr Grey Sky has won bumpers and hurdles and is a half-brother to two winning chasers but LLANDINABO LAD has jumped well in his two starts to date over the larger obstacles and connections will be hoping that experience stands him in good stead today. In Excelsis Deo is having a first run in this country after a lay-off but has a weight-for-age allowance in his favour and makes more appeal than the returning Hooligan and Presuming Ed, who will be carrying overweight.
