In depth

Verdict

GUANCIALE (NAP) has suddenly found his form and followed a comprehensive victory at Ffos Las with another at Wincanton so it's no surprise to see him coming here with a penalty and a hat-trick beckons. Chance Taken has never won but led for a long way over 2m4f at Southwell so this trip should suit. Caprice D'anglaise was very well supported and in the lead and going well enough when unseating his rider three out at Leicester but had weakened quickly on his previous start there. Aces Over Eights has been racing over further since scoring at Towcester in May but prefers quicker ground while Mount Russell hasn't shown much over hurdles and makes his chasing debut.
