In depth

Verdict

The four-year-old George Woolf looks to be facing a stiff task under top weight but Bathwick Man beat an in-form rival at Towcester and has only been raised 5lb. Royal Riviera has been knocking on the door while it would be no surprise to see an improved showing from Saltagioo on this better ground. Another Kate comes here off the back of a third at Ffos Las and is a previous C&D winner but so is KAHSABELLE. The latter started favourite at Wincanton last month but was hampered at halfway and never looked likely to reel in the leaders thereafter. She has ground to make up on second Titch Strider here but is now blinkered and, 11lb better off, can turn the tables and land this for Venetia Williams.
